Service technician for Siplace SMD placement machines

Job description:

We are looking for a service technician to support our service team.

As a service technician, you will mainly overhaul Siplace SMD placement machines at our site in Paderborn, Germany. These are then installed and commissioned during occasional business trips in the European region, including with colleagues from our headquarters in Grödig near Salzburg or our Polish branch in Gdansk. Furthermore, service trips are carried out to repair and maintain the machines.

Tasks

Your responsibilities:

Reworking Siplace SMD placement machines
Documenting the activities carried out
Problem analysis, repair and troubleshooting
Creating assembly programmes for placement machines
Integrating the machines/line computers in LAN networks
Commissioning machines and automation systems at our customers’ premises
Technical customer support/telephone-based customer support
Supporting our customers during on-site operations
Occasional business trips in the European region

Qualifications

Your profile:

Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician or similar
Professional service experience desirable
Ideally, knowledge of (Siplace) SMD technology
Willingness to occasionally travel on business with overnight stays
Good knowledge of German and English
Class B driving licence
Basic knowledge of common Microsoft programs, ideally knowledge of LAN networks
Communication skills and a willingness to learn
Independent, customer- and goal-oriented way of working
Self-driven in thought and action, with a confident manner
Willingness to work in a multicultural team and support team members as needed
